I have an Enlightened Equipment quilt I use for backpacking. After using it the last couple of years, it needed to get refreshed and cleaned before my multiple backpacking trips this coming year. I thought about cleaning it myself but didn't want to risk damage and the cost to have it cleaned by eClean was worth me not having to spend the time (shipping was included in the cost). The process was SO easy and my quilt looks fantastic when it came back to me. And the people I communicated with at eClean were amazing! Definitely recommend!!

I was dreading washing my quilt so much that I put it off for a year, maybe longer! I was terrified I was going to do something wrong and destroy my quilt. I knew it needed it, I’ve had it almost 10 years, and though I’ve never done a thru hike with it, its been used enough that the down was clumpy and it wasn’t keeping me as warm as it used to. I got an email from Enlightened Equipment (who made my quilt), that they were recommending this company for their quilts. I did some research and decided to try it. It took about a month to get it back but it’s perfect again! Just like new! The down is re-distributed and not clumpy any more. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I’m sure it’s back to normal. I will do this from now on w/any of my quilts, soooo worth it!!

My sleeping bags look so fluffy and clean! It was very easy to send out, and the company kept in contact with me in regards to receiving my sleeping bags, and when they were delivering them back.
Just remember that it takes longer than I thought to get them back so if you need them, make sure you send them far enough in advance.
I will definitely Use them again.

My quilt was returned beautifully clean and I am impressed with the eco friendly process. However, the process took over 5 weeks to complete which was longer than I expected.

I purchased the cleaning as a gift to my son who had just finished a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. Of course, his $350 quilt was quite ripe and, well, you get the picture. Sent it in and a few weeks later it arrived back home. We opened the package not really having high expectations. To our surprise, all foul odors were gone and replaced with a mellow, pleasant odor and the quilt was in great shape. Very happy with the service and will surely use again.

Found your site thru web search, I saw many good reviews. So I gave it a shot and Im very happy to see that oily stains have been removed 100%. My sleeping bag came back nice and fluffy. The only downside was the weird smell ,Im hopeful it dissipates !

Wow! Very impressed at the level of cleanliness. My quilt had 160+ nights of usage from my PCT thru-hike and random weekend trips. The down was compressed and it smelled terrible. After having it cleaned its as lofted as it was when I first purchased my quilt. The smells are all gone and I feel like even the material color has been revived to its original state. Highly recommend this method of cleaning if you're getting back from a thru-hike. Handwashing in your tub can't get it this clean.

Very pleased with the results and highly recommended! eClean was recommended by the manufacturer of our duo backpacking quilt. After 5 1/2 years of use it was very stinky and stained. We attempted to wash and air dry it at home years ago but it didn’t remove the musty smell or fully restore the loft. Smells amazing I used this bag for five months on the Appalachian Trail and it was pretty nasty when I finished. Now it is clean as can be and has all the loft of the original bag. I have tried washing down bags before and they always get lumpy. Considering the high cost of this bag the price of cleaning was well worth it. I will be sending my down jacket in soon!

I sent my Enlightened Equipment down quilt to eClean and couldn't be more thrilled with the results. I had taken the quilt on a thru-hike of the Appalachian trail and section hikes on the Mountains-to-Sea trail and it was in rough condition. Traditional methods of washing down in the tub and drying with tennis balls resulted in a less-than-clean quilt and the down filling bunched in places. The eClean process was quick and easy and my quilt is like new now and ready for its next adventure - the Arizona Trail. Thanks, eClean!

Looks and lofts like a new quilt! Sent my 20 degree EE quilt in after an AT LASH. Smells great, the down is "revived" and all at a reasonable price. Turn around was quick. I have washed my quilt myself once but, after this experience, I'll be using the eclean services from now on. Really good experience. Next time will send my tent in as well.

I had a Western Mountaineering HighLite bag that has several thousand trail miles on it. I was getting diminishing returns on washing it myself in downwash. After a cold nights sleep last spring in the Boise NF while surveying woodpeckers I was left with 2 options. Purchase a new bag at 405$ or attempt to get it cleaned with the CO2 process. I had heard good things about the CO2 process, but an online search yielded only one result. eClean made the process easy by sending a mailing label for the item to be mailed out. I then received updates during every stage of the process: when it arrived, when it would be cleaned, when it was shipped out and when it was out for delivery. Considering cleaning a down garment takes 3 hours or more at a laundromat and considering my time is worth money I feel the cost for the item to be cleaned is well worth it. I was still unsure of the results, but when I received it I was very happy. Basically the bag looks brand new. The outer shell is spotless which is nice and the loft is back to what it was when I purchased it some 23 years ago. I will definitely have my parkas and other garments cleaned here going forward.
